Sydney, 2 April 2009 – Blue Illusion, one of Australia’s largest independently owned boutique chains, is opening a flagship store in Sydney’s Domestic Terminal (T2).

aged 35 and over, Blue Illusion has grown, in just two decades, from
a small fashion wholesale company in Victoria to a national retail chain with 55 stores.
Founders of Blue Illusion, husband and wife team, Danny and Donna Guest are also proud responsible citizens and dedicate significant resources to charity partnerships including sponsoring 50 children through World Vision.
Donna Guest said, “We started Blue Illusion just over twenty years ago and in our wildest dreams we never imagined growing to the point we are at today. Ten years ago we had one Blue Illusion boutique in Melbourne – today we have over fifty stores in all corners of Australia.
“I believe the fundamental reason behind our success is that we always listen to our customers - what they like to wear, how they feel, what inspires them. Our customers are discerning, stylish shoppers who are after quality made, beautiful garments and by listening to and valuing their opinion we are able to stock products that will truly enthuse them.”
In a key point of difference to other retailers, Blue Illusion provide qualified wardrobe consultants in every store to offer timely guidance and advice, ensuring women feel truly confident in beautifully designed clothing that is appropriate for their age, lifestyle and body shape.
Donna added, “Over the years we have developed a keen sense of insight into the styles, fabrics, and designs that our customers are searching for.
“Our wardrobe consultants are there to provide assistance and suggestions to women who may be searching for just the right outfit for a significant occasion or who may need some positive pointers on the types and styles of clothes that best suit their body shape and colouring.”
Blue Illusion have expanded on their firm fashion credentials by providing a wider lifestyle offering including specialist homewares inspired by the rustic French countryside and a delightful range of gifts including aromatherapy candles and exquisite pampering products.
Blue Illusion will open their new T2 store in June – their first ever in an Australian Airport.
